The following incidents were reported to the Prescott Police Department July 5-17.

Tuesday, July 5 At 1:15 a.m., police checked on an unoccupied vehicle parked at 1215 Canton St. No one was located in the area.

At 2:20 a.m., a vehicle that had popped a tire parked in the lot at Cernohous Chevrolet (1377 Orrin Road).

James Allen McGinnis, 61, Ormond Beach, Fla., was cited at 1:01 p.m. for abandonment of vehicle prohibited and various ordinance violations due to property condition of a rental property at 253 Tower Heights Court.

A resident at 244 N. Elm St. was cited at 2:13 p.m. for an ordinance violation after having been warned.

At 4:07 p.m., two juveniles at 722 Shane Park Circle were reported as runaways.

Police responded at 5:23 p.m. to 1020 Highway 10 for a possible domestic. Police determined all was well.

The property owner at 331 Court St. gave people permission at 5:55 p.m. to take a vehicle out of the garage.

Wednesday, July 6 Officers checked on a person sleeping in a vehicle at 2:32 a.m. near 236 Broad St. The person was okay.

Police responded at 2:13 p.m. to 1115 Hampton St. for a garage break-in. Nothing was taken but a truck was scratched.

Rachael Michelle Melzer, 22, Eagan, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 10:34 p.m. at Broad and Cherry streets.

A suspicious vehicle was reported at 11:35 p.m. at 1041 Orrin Road.

Thursday, July 7 Officers responded at 12:08 a.m. to Lawrence and Jefferson streets for two people yelling at each other. They were both given verbal warnings for disorderly conduct.

Genevieve Nena Mckenzie, 57, Rio Rancho, N.M., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 3:46 a.m. at 236 Broad St.

An accident was reported on private property at 3:57 p.m. at 1660 Orrin Road.

Geovanny A. Chacon Alvarado, 20, St. Paul, was cited for operate without valid license and operating motor vehicle without proof of insurance after a traffic stop for speeding at 8:45 p.m. at Highway 10 and Lake Street.

At 9:57 p.m., an officer observed lights at Cernohous Chevrolet (1377 Orrin Road). When they checked, the vehicle was unoccupied and the lights off.

At 10:21 p.m., an officer checked on suspicious people in a lot near Dexter and Jefferson streets. The officer confirmed the person’s residency near that location.

Friday, July 8 Officers made contact at 1:42 a.m. with three people walking near 505 Campbell St. They told police they were just walking home and were almost there.

Adam Christopher Brakebill, 33, Bay City, was cited for speeding on city highway after a traffic stop at 10:03 a.m. at Broad and Orange streets.

Drug paraphernalia was removed from abandoned property at 12:55 p.m. at 667 S. Dexter St.

A citation was issued for an underage tobacco sale to Isaac Allen Fair, 19, Prescott, at 2:27 p.m. at Ptacek’s IGA (1005 Eagle Ridge Drive).

A suspicious person was reported at 5:08 p.m. near 100 Linden Road. Police didn’t locate the individual.

Divya Sivaraman, 22, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:27 p.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.

Police received a fireworks complaint at 9:43 p.m. at 261 Warren St.

Saturday, July 9 Wyatt Benjamin Hines, 21, Ellsworth, was cited for a boat launch fee violation at 1:07 p.m. at Ash and Front streets.

Mark David Hasslinger, 60, Burnsville, Minn., was cited for a boat launch fee violation at 1:31 p.m. at Ash and Front streets.

Travis William Chenail, 34, West St. Paul, Minn., was cited for a boat launch fee violation at 1:35 p.m. at Ash and Front streets.

Raymond Leslie Borg, 64, St. Paul Park, Minn., was cited for a boat launch fee violation at 1:40 p.m. at Ash and Front streets.

Sonya Danae Voss, 29, Minneapolis, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 5:57 p.m. at Kinnickinnic and Broad streets.

Suspicious activity was reported at 10:01 p.m. at 265 S. Flora St.

Sunday, July 10 Suspicious activity was reported at 12:46 a.m. at Borner Street and Orrin Road.

Beulah Elizabeth Momanyi, 28, Brooklyn Center, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:25 p.m. at 570th Avenue and Jefferson Street.

Jason Archie Kuk, 40, Arkansaw, was cited for operating while revoked after a traffic stop at 9:11 p.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.

Suspicious activity was reported at 10:10 p.m. at 803 Kinnickinnic St.

An unwanted person was reported at 11:30 p.m. at 180 Broad St.

Monday, July 11 At 7:01 a.m., a complainant reported vandalism at the public beach (805 Lake St.) Human feces was found in two locations, which public works cleaned up.

Police responded at 7:32 a.m. to the public boat launch for an illegal dumping complaint at Ash and Front streets. The dumpster was filled with home items. Police took photos and cleaned up the site.

Officers responded to an injured deer complaint at 11:27 a.m. in the ditch in front of Kasco Marine (Canton Street and Highway 10). The deer had a broken leg. Police left it there to see if it would move on its own.

Amy Jo Sik, 37, Hastings, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:56 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.

A suspicious person was reported to be walking through people’s yards at 9:56 p.m. near 918 Pine St. The person was warned for trespassing.

Officers performed a welfare check at 10:28 p.m. at 128 Monroe St.

Tuesday, July 12 Police received a miscellaneous shooting complaint at 3:43 a.m. near Jefferson and Dexter streets. Nothing suspicious was noted in the area.

Finnian James McLaughlin, 18, Andover, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:17 a.m. at Jefferson and Walter streets.

A missing cat was reported at 12:33 p.m. at 619 Orrin Road. The cat was not found.

Noa Michael Lansing, 49, Prescott, was cited for a parking – boat launch fee violation at 7:03 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Suspicious activity was reported at 8:55 p.m. at 845 St. Croix St.

Wednesday, July 13 Waqar Ansari, 43, Lake Elmo, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:36 a.m. at 515 Jefferson St.

John Paul Lubich, 32, Prescott, was arrested on two warrants at 7:12 p.m. at 190 Flora St.

Thursday, July 14 Officers responded to a verbal domestic at 5:43 a.m. at 385 Locust St. The parties were separated for the day.

Alys Lynn Sue Dearborn, 51, St. Paul Park, Minn., was cited for operate without valid after an unwanted person complaint at 6:59 p.m. at 470 Monroe St.

Friday, July 15 Andrew Larry Zimmerman Jr., 63, River Falls, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 6:38 a.m. at 302 Lake St.

A 17-year-old from Mendota Heights, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:20 a.m. at Jefferson and Wacota streets.

Aaron Jacob Nightingale, 24, Woodbury, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 12:43 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.

Suspicious activity was reported at 2 p.m. at 101 Orange St. Police did not locate the suspect.

Officers responded to a threats report at 2:30 p.m. at 1000 Canton St. No damage or violent acts occurred.

Timothy Patrick Mikel, 32, Hastings, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 5:04 p.m. at Highway 10 and Lake Street.

Two people were warned for crossing the railroad tracks at 6:37 p.m. near 117 Broad St.

Trisha Ann Matzek, 48, Prescott, was cited for a parking – boat launch fee violation at 7:08 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Christopher James Kovarik, 40, St. Paul Park, Minn., was cited for a parking – boat launch fee violation at 7:25 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Jahnathan Matthew Dooley, 25, Tomah, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 7:39 p.m. at 236 Broad St.

Connor Jorge Pina, 25, Minneapolis, was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:14 p.m. at Jefferson and Monroe streets.

Brian Paul Danich, 46, St. Paul Park, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 8:42 p.m. at Jefferson Street and Water Treatment Road.

Suspicious activity was reported at 10:43 p.m. at 265 S. Flora St.

Officers received a prowler complaint at 11:07 p.m. at 507 Pearl St. A search of the area revealed no one.

Saturday, July 16 Nicholas Thomas Freeman, 30, Becker, Minn., was cited for speeding after a traffic stop at 12:48 a.m. at Jefferson Street and Water Treatment Road.

Tanner Mitchell Marko, 27, Prescott, was arrested on a warrant, possession of methamphetamine and possess drug paraphernalia while walking down the road at 10:52 a.m. near Walnut and Monroe streets.

At 12:29 p.m., police received a complaint of people drinking, smoking and vaping on school grounds near Dexter Street and Glenridge Drive. Police informed the event organizer of the rules.

Officers responded at 2:10 p.m. to the public beach (805 Lake St.) for an inappropriate behavior complaint. Party goers were advised to clean up.

Aaron William Stahosky, 38, Zumbrota, Minn., was cited for a parking – boat launch fee violation at 6:08 p.m. at Front and Ash streets.

Jake Everett Kryzer, 36, Ellsworth, received a written warning at 6:20 p.m. at Ash and Front streets for not having an annual boat launch pass properly displayed.

Maria Del Socorr Chino Uriaga, 40, Burnsville, Minn., was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop for speeding at 8:04 p.m. at Warren and Jefferson streets.

Taylor Lynn Posavad, 29, White Bear Lake, Minn., was cited for operate without valid license after a traffic stop at 8:19 p.m. at 200 Monroe St.

Police received a noise complaint and issued a warning at 10:12 p.m. at 650 Helen St.

Sunday, July 17 Police responded at 1:36 a.m. to the area of Flora and Ash streets for suspicious activity. Two people on bikes were near a house that had an alarm go off. When police responded, the alarm was deactivated and the suspects were nowhere to be found.

Trevor Daniel Hei, 30, Ellsworth, was arrested for OWI after a traffic stop at 2:36 a.m. at 1120 Highway 10.

Officers responded to a catalytic converter theft at 4:21 p.m. at 141 Linden Road.
