SV School District adds new Cardinals

Spring Valley School District is pleased to welcome the following new staff members to the Cardinal ranks for the 2024-25 school year.

Royce & Briana Baier

Positions: Briana has been with SVSD for five years ad is moving from paraprofessional to a full-time position in the middle/high school office. She also coaches middle school cross country, cheerleading, high school girls basketball and track and field. Royce is new to the district and joined the maintenance staff.

Education: Briana is a student at UW-Superior studying elementary education

Family: Two grown sons, Cody and Colin (Briana), Carter is in high school (Royce). Briana and Royce married in October 2022.

Hobbies/interests: Royce can be found on the golf course when not at work. He also loves baseball and watches a lot of sports.

Alexis Driscoll

Position: Elementary special education paraprofessional

Family: My husband Austin and our two sons are happy to live in such a great community!

Hobbies/interests: Reading and traveling

What are you most looking forward to this year? I have a passion to help our young generations learn and grow!

Kylie Jensen

Position: Special education paraprofessional

Experience: I have 2.5 years under my belt as a para.

Family; Husband Cole (also an SV graduate), sons RJ (14) and Taylor (7) and daughter Danica (12).

Hobbies/interests: Spending time with family. All the sports the older two are involved in keep me on my toes!

What are you most looking forward to this year? I am extremely happy to be working in the district that shaped my future (Class of 2009) and I can’t wait to help shape these young kiddos as well!

Ali Lokker

Position: Fifth grade teacher

Hometown: Baldwin and still live there

Experience: Second year teaching, first year teaching fifth grade

Hobbies/interests: Going to the cabin, hiking and spending time with family and friends!

Allison Retzloff

Position: District RN

Experience: I have about seven years of healthcare experience and three years in leadership.

Hometown: I have always lived in the surrounding areas.

Family: My family consists of my husband, CJ, and my three kids Lacey, Austin and Calvin.

Hobbies/interests: I love fishing, camping and golfing with my family.

What are you most looking forward to this year? I absolutely love working in healthcare and love working with kids. I am excited to have my first full year hear at Spring Valley!

Erica Wahlquist

Position: Elementary office assistant, volunteer coordinator

Hobbies/interests: She enjoys gardening, hiking with her husband and family, traveling to the mountains, drinking good coffee, making tasty snacks and watching 49er football and Brewers baseball.

What are you most looking forward to this year? I love working in schools and being able to watch the students learn and grow. I’m looking forward to meeting the families and being part of this amazing team.
