The following incidents were reported to Pierce County Sheriff’s Office July 6-18.

Wednesday, July 6 Deputies were dispatched to an intentional gas drive-off on Highway 35 in Bay City. While investigating, it was discovered that the Wisconsin license plate on the suspect vehicle had been stolen from a vehicle at a nearby business. The suspects were identified.

A gas drive-off was reported on Highway 35 in Bay City. It did not appear intentional as the subject tried to swipe their card. A message was left for the registered owner.

At 3:46 p.m., a registration check was conducted on a vehicle in the 100 block of East Main Street in Ellsworth; the registration was found to be expired since 2020. The driver was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license.

A gas drive-off was reported at 4:01 p.m. on 785th Street in Hager City. The registered owner responded and stated they would pay.

Deputies responded to an address on 825th Street in Hager City for a female who thought there may possibly have been hidden cameras in her bathroom. Upon investigation, it was determined that the light bulbs she believed were cameras were just smart bulbs.

Thursday, July 7 At 2:10 a.m., a vehicle was stopped for speed and failure to dim high beams on Highway 63 near 825th Street in Hager City. The driver was arrested for OWI – first offense and cited for speed.

Deputies responded to an address on Highway 35 in Prescott for a catalytic converter theft. The report was completed.

Anonymous information was received at 1:10 p.m. about possible drug dealers throughout the county.

At 3:12 p.m., a caller reported a male who was under the influence and violating his bond conditions on 980th Street in Hager City. The male was arrested for violation of bond conditions.

A report of a license plate theft was taken on Highway 35 in Bay City at 4:44 p.m.

A report was taken from 785th Street in Hager City at 5:34 p.m. that a male paid for one bundle of wood but took two. It was determined to be a misunderstanding, and the male agreed to go pay for the other bundle of wood.

A male who crashed his bike was checked on near the intersection of Highway 10 and West Hill Street in Ellsworth. Help or medical assistance was denied.

A deer was located and moved off the roadway by deputies at 11:27 p.m. on Highway 35 near County Road AA in Maiden Rock.

Friday, July 8 At 9:10 a.m., an alarm at a business on Highway 35 in Bay City went off. A deputy and a State Patrol unit cleared the building and found nothing to be suspicious. An employee arrived on scene and disabled the alarm.

A suspicious person was reported in Spring Valley near the intersection of South Newman Avenue and West Akers Street at 11:45 a.m. Contact was made with the male, who was employed by an insurance agency and was looking at the property.

A deputy was dispatched to County Road B in Spring Valley after several puppies were reported in the roadway at 12:17 p.m. The dogs were brought back to their home.

At 4:45 p.m., information was received about a child locked in a car on Lake Pepin Blvd. in Bay City. A tow company came and unlocked the vehicle.

Deputies assisted Pepin County Sheriff’s Office with a two-vehicle crash on Highway 35 near the south wayside rest area at 4:48 p.m. One patient was transported via air.

Information was received from Goodhue County about a wanted subject crossing into Wisconsin. The subject’s vehicle was located in Hager City, but the subject was not located.

Saturday, July 9 A group of subjects was observed yelling and shoving at 2:03 a.m. near the intersection of North Second and East Elm streets in River Falls. Contact was made and the parties were separated.

Suspicious activity was observed at an address on Highway 10 in Ellsworth. Contact was made with a male subject who was sleeping in his vehicle. The subject was staying on the property until he was safe to drive.

A report of a dead squirrel that seemed to be shot with a BB gun was received from an address on 535th Street in Spring Valley.

Deputies responded to a single motorcycle crash with two occupants with injuries near the intersection of County Road OO and 410th Avenie in Hager City at 5:18 p.m. Both were transported by EMS.

Deputies responded to the intersection of highways 10 and 63 in Ellsworth for a motorcycle crash with road blockage and injuries. The male driver was arrested for OWI – first offense and transported to a hospital by ground ambulance. A female was transported by air ambulance with undetermined injuries. At 1:57 a.m., deputies were requested to respond to a business on 825th Street in Hager City for a sexual assault report.

Sunday, July 10 A vehicle was observed parked on the side of the roadway near the intersection of Highway 10 and 390th Avenue in Ellsworth at 2:05 p.m. The males were found to be rock hunting.

A hit-and-run crash of a stop sign was reported at the intersection of Highway 63 and 490th Avenue in Ellsworth. The highway department was notified to replace the stop sign.

Monday, July 11 A resident at W8188 County Road K, Hager City, reported at 7:06 a.m. concerns about the neighbor’s dogs running at large on her property. The dog’s owner was warned.

At 8:58 a.m., the owner of an abandoned property at N6696 110th St., Elmwood asked police to warn juveniles for trespassing. Police made contact with a parent and the kids, who agreed they would stay off the property.

A man called police at 9:34 a.m. to report that his sister had stolen the DirecTV receiver at W11386 County Road FF when she moved out. The sister allowed police access to her receivers, and none were the missing one.

At 10:45 a.m., a complainant reported losing a fly fishing rod and reel near County Road A and 420th Street, Maiden Rock.

At 2:55 p.m., a caller reported finding possible drug paraphernalia and stolen checks in someone’s possession at W5833 County Road N, Beldenville.

At 3:29 p.m., police witnessed a man swinging a tree branch at and threatening the owner of Snowball’s Bar (463 E. Wall St.) Ellsworth police arrested him for disorderly conduct and transported him to Pierce County Jail.

Police responded to a possible domestic at 8:51 p.m. at 133 S. Main St., Elmwood. The man was arrested for felony bail jumping.

A caller reported suspicious activity at 9:40 p.m. at W12300 Highway 29, Prescott. They saw a vehicle driving around the closed highway shop then head toward the storage units. Prescott police didn’t locate anyone.

Officers responded to a one-vehicle rollover without injury at 10:47 p.m. at730th Street and 290th Avenue, Ellsworth. The vehicle was towed.

Tuesday, July 12 A caller reported a suspicious man in a vehicle along the side of the road at 4:19 a.m. near County Road J and Highway 65, Beldenville. No one was located.

A man was arrested for operate without valid license (third within three years) after a traffic stop at 6:21 a.m. near Highway 10 and Dexter Street.

A Pierce County Parks employee reported vandalism at 10:45 a.m. at N1299 825th St., Hager City. No items were taken, but the lock box was damaged, sometime between Saturday night and Tuesday morning.

A man was arrested for possess drug paraphernalia, possession of THC, possession of methamphetamine and operate without valid license (second) after a traffic stop at 11:20 a.m. at N1620 County Road VV, Hager City. Police’s suspicion was raised when the vehicle abruptly pulled into a closed bar parking lot upon seeing a marked squad car.

Police investigated an animal at large complaint at 2:40 p.m. at W763 County Road G, Elmwood. The dog’s owner was reminded of the dangers of a dog who continuously runs out into the road. The owner said he’d keep the dog on his property.

At 5:39 p.m., a woman called police to report that her small son had heard a voice in the woods at N7563 County Road CC, Spring Valley. The woods was searched for trespassers but no one was located.

At 5:46 p.m. police responded to a Bay City address for someone being blackmailed with photos and videos.

A driver was arrested for a warrant after a traffic stop at 11:32 p.m. at Main and Grant streets in Ellsworth.

Wednesday, July 13 At 5:35 a.m., a rural Ellsworth man who calls frequently reported a family member putting spells on him again, which prevent him from sleeping. He said he can normally sleep after calling dispatch.

Police were dispatched to a theft at a business at 7:04 a.m. at W8069 170th Ave., Hager City. Photos and information were gathered.

Police checked on a suspicious vehicle parked in the middle of a parking lot at 7:57 a.m. at E345 Highway 29, Spring Valley.

A complainant reported suspicious goings-on around her property at 9:42 a.m. at W8110 770th Ave., River Falls.

Officers received a report of a woman “off her rocker” at 2:51 p.m. at N4588 County Road O, Ellsworth. The complainant’s brother said the woman was not disorderly; she declined needing any help.

A deputy stopped a UTV for operating on a state road at 3:26 p.m. on Highway 65 in Beldenville. The driver was arrested for a warrant; the UTV was towed.

Police received a dumping complaint at 4:28 p.m. atW8083 185th Ave., Hager City. The town chair was notified about the location of the dumped washer and dryer.

At 4:43 p.m., a caller reported two suspicious women wearing bright yellow vests who parked in her driveway, then walked around her yard at N4735 US Highway 63, Ellsworth. She wanted the incident documented.

Thursday, July 14 Police were called at 2:55 a.m. to W6650 Maple St., Bay City, for a domestic no longer in progress. The caller said he and his significant other had gotten into an altercation that turned physical, so he left the home. He was eventually arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Officers took a complaint at 5:35 a.m. of a small camper that has been parked at W3525 Park St., Maiden Rock, since early July. No one is ever around it.

Deputies assisted Prescott police with a domestic disturbance at 5:55 a.m. at 358 Locust St.

At 8:19 a.m., police provided information to a man at W4321 270th Ave., Maiden Rock, regarding his neighbor’s aggressive pit bulls. The complainant was also referred to the state statute regarding the situation.

At 9:06 a.m., a complainant at W8110 770th Ave., River Falls reported that someone has been cleaning her pony tank without her permission. She was told to call back if she needed assistance.

Police received a suspicious activity report of a woman walking along the road at 9:23 a.m. near Highway 35 and 717th Street, Bay City. She declined assistance.

At 2:51 p.m., a caller reported that someone had thrown concrete down by his driveway in the area of 20th and 50th streets in Elmwood. A male suspect admitted to the act. The complainant didn’t want it removed, but asked that the road be fixed so it could wash away during a storm.

At 2:51 p.m., a caller reported a rear windshield shot out at W6398 450th Ave., Ellsworth. The windshield wasn’t shot out, but it’s unclear how it shattered.

At 6:07 p.m., a Handy Mart (W6396 Highway 35, Bay City) employee of a couple trying to pass a bad check. Officers caught up with them just south of the Highway 63/35 intersection. They were both arrested.

Friday, July 15 Deputies assisted Prescott police in locating a missing person at 2:49 a.m. at 1437 Glenridge Drive.

At 9:14 a.m., a caller at N7513 800th St., Ellsworth, reported a sick raccoon. The raccoon appeared to be injured; the complainant tried to call animal rescue organizations for assistance.

Officers responded to a family verbal domestic at 9:42 a.m. at N6047 County Road E, River Falls. No one was willing to write a statement.

A caller reported a dog locked in a car at 11:52 a.m. at W9896 770th Ave., River Falls. No vehicles were located.

A caller complained of out-of-state utility vehicles parked at 3:43 p.m. in a driveway near W11009 County Road M, River Falls. The caller was informed the workers were requested by local businesses.

At 4:52 p.m., a caller reported someone sitting in a vehicle in the ditch near County Road K and 875th Street, Hager City. The driver was there to get away from his dad for a few hours, he said. He was advised to call someone to move his vehicle.

A missing canoe was reported at 7:14 p.m. at W12677 705th Ave., River Falls. Police spoke to the suspect and the suspect’s father.

Officers were called at 10:17 p.m. to a fight in progress at N1090 825th St., Hager City. A group of people were confronting a participant in an earlier fight, which had gone unreported.

Saturday, July 16 Police checked on a group of kids at the basketball court at 1 a.m. at Birch Avenue and First Street in Plum City. They went home.

At 1:05 a.m., police stopped to check on someone lying the grass at near 804 Main St., Plum City. He said he didn’t want to drive because he’d been drinking. Police called his wife to come pick him up.

At 9:40 a.m., a tipster informed police of a wanted person camping at W4857 Highway 35, Bay City. The person was arrested.

A burglary was reported at 10:39 a.m. at 316 S. Scott St., Elmwood.

Officers responded at 8:35 p.m. to an ATV crash with injury at W7825 490th Ave., Ellsworth. One woman was transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

At 9:02 p.m., a concerned neighbor reported a drone flying over his neighbor’s property at W2662 Highway 72, Elmwood. It flew off soon after he noticed it.

Sunday, July 17 Officers responded at 1:33 a.m. to N1090 825th St., Hager City, for an unresponsive woman. She was given a courtesy ride to Red Wing.

Police received information about a possible domestic at 10:34 a.m. at W8155 County Road J, Beldenville. The parties were separated.

At 3:26 p.m., police responded to 444 Park Road, Plum City, where a complainant reported dogs being sold that looked sick.

Police responded at 5:17 p.m. to W11052 457th Ave., Prescott, where a missing Minneapolis teen’s phone was pinging. A walk-through of the residence revealed nothing.

Monday, July 18 Deputies responded at 12:19 a.m. to W8945 Highway 10, Ellsworth, where a man had assaulted staff and bar patrons.

Police checked on a man sleeping in a vehicle at 3:35 a.m. near W5405 Highway 29, Spring Valley. He said he was sleeping before going fishing.
