Sharolyn Johnson, 74, passed away peacefully at home on July 11, 2024, in Ellsworth, Wis. from complications of heart disease. Sharolyn Johnson was born on March 23, 1950 in Waukon, Iowa, to Everett Feuerhelm and Ivy Feuerhelm.

Sharolyn was raised in Plum City where she attended school prior to the family moving to Ellsworth. She would graduate from the Ellsworth High School in 1969. Sharolyn married Larry Johnson on Sept. 13, 1969 at Ono United Methodist Church, Maiden Rock, Wis. The couple had no children but loved their cats Callie and Sampson. She started her career as a factory worker, helped on their farm, and worked at Fairview Red Wing Hospital.

Sharolyn was best known for making cards for all occasions, riding ATV/UTV, traveling to Arizona for the winter, playing with her cats, and talking on the phone with family and friends. She was a member of the Silver Stampers and the Pierce County ATV/UTV Association for many years and enjoyed blowing and watching bubbles with her caregivers Jodie Brathall, Sheila Miller and Carol Fuller, who were like family to her.

Sharolyn is survived by her husband of 54 years Larry, her brother Lester (Donna) Feuerhelm of Mission, Texas; sister-in-law Barb (Gerald Johnson) McLaughlin of Lake City, Minn.; sister-in-law Barb (Everett) Fritz-Muhlhausen of Ellsworth, sister-in-law Nancy (Rick) Darnall of Irvine, Calif., and nephews Devin Feuerhelm of Bay City, Terry Johnson (Tina Passe) of Bay City, nieces Lenna (Brent) Samuelson of Cameron, Wis., LeAnn (Brian) Rauchwarter of Red Wing, Minn., Tina (Pat) Huppert of Beldenville, Jodie Peterson (Jason Ascheman) of Ellsworth, Julie (Jeff) Stoltenburg of Ellsworth, Megan Bailey (Wil Dee) of Orange, Calif.,, Amber (Brian) Yell of Coon Rapids, Minn., and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Sharolyn is preceded in death by her father Everett Feuerhelm; her mother Ivy Feuerhelm; brother-in-law Gerald Johnson; great grandnephew Joshua Johnson; parents-in-law Melvin and Stella Johnson; and many aunts and uncles.

A private graveside service for Sharolyn Johnson will be held on July 21 at Ono United Methodist Church at Maiden Rock, Wis.

Memorial donations can be made in Sharolyn’s name to the discretion of the family. Cremation services entrusted to the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Ellsworth.
