Dennis Timm
1941-2022
Dennis Lowell Timm of Fairbanks, Alaska died in Fairbanks on Jan. 19 at the age of 80. Dennis was born to Everett and Agnes Timm of Prescott, Wisconsin on Dec. 3, 1941.
After graduating from Prescott High School in 1959, Dennis visited Alaska with his great friend, Johnny Johnson. Returning to Wisconsin, Dennis met and married Janet Blair of Spooner, Wisconsin in 1961. They had two sons, Jack and Mike.
Dennis moved his family back to Alaska in 1969, settling in Fairbanks. Dennis loved hunting, fishing, trapping, and anything outdoors in Alaska. He enjoyed a long and fulfilling career at Fairbanks Fire Department, where he retired and made many life-long friends. After retirement, Dennis and Janet moved to Kasilof, Alaska where they built a home on the bluff by the ocean. After the death of Janet in 1997 of cancer, Dennis met and married the second love of his life, Wynne Reeves.
Dennis and Winnie moved back to Fairbanks in 2017 and moved in with their good friend Tom Chadwick. Winnie lost her long battle with cancer in March of 2021, and Tom died while hunting in September.
He will be missed by his surviving family. Dennis is survived by his sisters, Valarie Foster, Beverly Huppert, and Toni Helmueller, all of Wisconsin. Sons Jack (Kathy) Timm of Wasilla, Mike (Charity) Timm of Fairbanks, grandchildren Felicity (Scott) Young of Wasilla, Dennis Edmon (Tiffany) Timm of Wasilla, Kat (Brian) Timm of Ohio, Richard Timm of Fairbanks, Michael and Jeadin Timm of Fairbanks, great grandchildren Sebastian, Janet, Clarissa, and Frederick Young. Trystin, Vincent, Joe, and Margaret Rose Timm of Wasilla.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to American Cancer Society.
