Letter to the editor: Zimmerman's results are clear, so is the vote

To the editor,
As election season approaches, it’s disheartening to see how campaigns have become riddled with misinformation. Fortunately, for those of us in the St. Croix Valley, we know better. Shannon Zimmerman is a name synonymous with results and dedication. We’ve seen firsthand how he has worked tirelessly with area businesses, hired locally, and supported our educational institutions with both his time and personal financial contributions.
Shannon brings a sensible, results-oriented voice to Madison. Since his election, western Wisconsin has seen a notable increase in attention and support, particularly through his leadership on the Joint Committee on Finance, where he helps shape the state’s budget. One need only look at the funding secured for the new Science and Technology building at UW-River Falls to see his impact. It’s not a coincidence; it’s proof of his commitment.
While his opponent runs on misleading claims and lacks a clear platform, Shannon’s record is undeniable. He’s reduced taxes, eliminated the personal property tax, and consistently supported local businesses. He’s also tackled critical issues like substance abuse, successfully pushing through multiple bills to improve our community.
On Nov. 5, the choice is clear. We don’t need another out-of-touch bureaucrat; we need someone who has consistently delivered for us. That person is Shannon Zimmerman.
