Frances “Fran” Elaine Dusek, 86, of River Falls, WI, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at River Falls Area Hospital.
Born on Sept. 21, 1937, Fran was the eldest child of Ray and Marie Dusek. She was a fixture in the River Falls community, attending St. Bridget’s Catholic Church regularly, working at UWRF, and enjoying social gatherings where she played euchre, bingo, and other games with her many friends.
At home, Fran cared for her mother and spent time with her numerous nieces and nephews. She watched them on the family farm and walked with them to nearby parks or to Steve’s Pizza and movies downtown. She cherished family traditions and memories, becoming the unofficial family archivist with her collection of photographs and keepsakes spanning decades and generations.
Fran will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Fran is survived by her brother Claire (Wendy), sisters Mary (Bruce) and Judy, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Ray and Marie, and brothers Tom, Paul, and Leo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 211 E. Division St., River Falls, WI. Visitation will also be on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Rosary will be said at 9:45 a.m. Interment will be in St. Bridget Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
