Wickham (Wick) Allen died in River Falls on Sept. 20, 2024. He was born in Sydney, Australia on Jan. 27, 1927. His living close relatives include his wife of nearly 73 years, Margaret (Margo) Allen, his son Nicholas Allen, his son-in-law David Trechter (Holly Trechter), two grandsons Colin (Alice Glenn) and Jeffrey Trechter, and his great granddaughter Wanda. Wick’s daughter Kristen Allen died in 2012.
Working as an engineer, Wick had the good fortune to meet many interesting people in a variety of locations around the world. He was a voracious reader, a great lover of classical music, and enjoyed many activities including sailing, swimming, and badminton.
For the past 17 years, Wick and Margo lived in River Falls where they made many new friends and enjoyed the stimulating community and the city’s natural beauty.
Wick requested that there be no formal ceremony marking is death. He felt that the memories held in the minds of his friends were sufficient.
