A River Falls woman was held against her will in a mobile home and threatened with a gun by her boyfriend in late July.

Noah Robert Goff, 20, was ordered to pay $2,500 cash bond Aug. 5 in Pierce County Circuit Court on felony armed robbery, felony strangulation and suffocation, felony false imprisonment, felony resist officer – substantial bodily harm/soft tissue injury, battery, criminal damage to property and possess drug paraphernalia charges. He was allowed to post a $10,000 signature bond Aug. 12 instead. If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison and/or fines up to $100,000.

Danielle Ann Jilk, 20, was ordered to pay $500 cash bond Aug. 5 on felony armed robbery (as party to a crime), felony false imprisonment (as party to a crime) and resisting or obstructing an officer charges. If convicted, she faces a maximum penalty of 40 years in prison and/or fines up to $100,000.

According to the complaint:

At 7:22 p.m. July 30, officers were dispatched to 1450 S. Wasson Lane #48 for a possible domestic in progress. The complainant said the victim sent her a text message stating “help” and “I’m fine.” The caller said there was a history of domestic incidents at that address and was concerned. When they arrived, officers transported the victim to the police station for questioning, where she fled from officers toward the highway. She was detained and taken to River Falls Area Hospital due to her injuries.

When officers attempted to escort Goff from the residence, he actively resisted arrest and ripped his arms away from police. He was assisted to the ground where he continued to pull his arms away, attempted to stand up and put his hands underneath his body. He knocked a body camera off one officer. They were able to handcuff him and place him in a squad.

Inside the residence, police checked for others who may have had access to the gun; no one else was there. Numerous drug paraphernalia items were in plain sight. After obtaining a search warrant, police located drug paraphernalia in the home, along with Amoxicillin belonging to another man, Xylocaine and a syringe containing a clear substance in a bowl in a closet. The gun was not found.

At the hospital, officers learned around 6 a.m. that day Goff had woken up the woman after going through her phone and finding out she’d been cheating on him. She admitted it. He grabbed her by the throat with both hands and slammed her against a wall. He called her profane names and told her he was going to sell her body to make up for her cheating on him. He then choked her until she passed out.

When she awoke, she saw Goff pointing a gun at her. He pressed it between her eyes and said he wasn’t afraid to shoot her. He then told her to send as much money as she could to Jilk (he ex-girlfriend), who came over to the residence and saw Goff with the gun. Jilk had a machete in her hands, the victim said, and told the woman that she would "hack her to pieces" if she did anything. She sent Jilk $140 on PayPal.

After she left, the victim tried to calm Goff while texting "SOS" to several friends to try and get help. She stated that she scratched his arms to have his DNA under her fingernails in case he killed her. Police observed abrasions and bruising on both sides of her neck, consistent with being strangled or choked. She also had a small cut on the corner of her mouth. She said Goff pushed her, pulled her hair, attempted to suffocate and strangle her, slapped her with an open hand, struck her with a closed fist, threw an unknown item at her, and slammed her head against the wall. She estimated that she was injured 50 times during the incident.

At the hospital, officers fought to get Goff into the emergency room. He refused to stand and went limp. Once he was medically cleared, Goff attempted to run from officers in the parking lot. He aggressively started swinging his elbows and upper body, trying to break free from officers’ grip. A squad computer and PBT case were knocked out of the officer’s hand onto the ground. He continued to resist and fight with officers, who brought him to the ground. He was placed back in the squad, where he complained of hitting his head on the ground. Back in the hospital, he said he’d rather be dead. After being medically cleared again, Goff was placed in a WRAP and transported to Pierce County Jail. While enroute, Goff appeared to be having or faking a seizure. EMS met officers at the jail. Once inside, he tried to make himself throw up. He opened his eyes and started talking normally. He was evaluated and placed in a padded cell.

One officer had pain and discomfort in their right hand. After an x-ray, a doctor diagnosed it as a sprain caused by tussling with Goff.

After searching the residence, officers went to speak with Jilk and her mother at her residence on Wildcat Court. Officers didn’t believe she was being truthful at first as she would break eye contact and her hands were visibly shaking. Within the first few minutes of speaking with her she had changed details of her story twice without knowing it.

Jilk admitted to going to the trailer and Goff and the woman were fighting. Goff put the woman in a room and she was watching her. Goff handed her the gun at one point and walked the victim to the room while she held the gun. She said Goff pointed the gun at the woman once when she was trying to get it back from him. She said the woman had held the gun on Goff before he took it from her. She was held in the room against her will and Goff locked her in. She said they were going to let the woman out once she calmed down. She left to get the woman’s money (sent to her via PayPal) for rent she apparently owed Goff. She said Goff never left the house with the gun because he is on house arrest related to another case.

Jilk claimed she didn’t know the gun’s location. She said she didn’t call 911 when she left the residence to get the money because she didn’t want Goff to get into trouble. Officers placed Jilk under arrest and transported her to Pierce County Jail.

Jilk is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22. Goff has a status conference on Aug. 15.
