St. Croix Valley Master Gardeners Association is accepting grant applications for 2022 SCVMGA Community Service Grants and has $4,000 to give away for gardening projects in Pierce and St. Croix counties.
Grant applications are due Monday, March 7. Grants are available for up to $250 for gardening projects that focus on beautification of public spaces, horticultural education of the public, community gardens, and/or youth horticulture education.
Past projects have included rain and/or butterfly gardens at schools or parks, large flowerpots to beautify downtown areas, development of community gardens to benefit local food shelves and senior centers, prairie restoration and beautification of park entrances and public areas.
Grant awards will be announced by April 21, 2022. The 2022 Community Grant application with instructions and project specifications is available online at http://www.scvmga.weebly.com and can be found under the 'Forms' tab on the left-hand navigation of the site The mission of St. Croix Valley Master Gardeners Association is to provide community service through education, environmental stewardship, and provide information on horticulture to the residents of Pierce and St. Croix counties.
