ELLSWORTH, Wisconsin –Quinn Motors of Ellsworth is excited to share the good news that the long desired traveling piano that Ellsworth High School Choir Director Karen Kornmann has wanted and needed for the EHS Music, Arts and Drama departments has finally become a reality.
Meghan Quinn Kummer, dealer principal of Quinn Motors, alongside husband Charlie Kummer, President of Quinn Motors, presented Kornmann funds raised during Quinn Motors of Ellsworth’s 105th Anniversary Community Concert in July at the Ellsworth dealership.
To celebrate Quinn Motors’ 105th Anniversary, an idea was launched to hold a first-of-its-kind Community Concert on the grounds of the dealership and use the special occasion to raise funds for the EHS Music, Arts and Drama departments.
“Quinn Motors remains strongly committed to supporting Ellsworth High School’s educational endeavors as community is a core value of our dealership,” stated Quinn Kummer.
In early September, a photo opportunity was held at the dealership with EHS principal, Oran Nehls, Choir/Band Directors Kornmann and Nicholas Verheyen alongside EHS students to donate two checks:
“Oh, goodness, wow, well thank you. This is the biggest donation that I’ve ever been part of in 33 years of teaching,” said Kornmann, “We had a blast singing for you (during Community Concert) and I’m really just blown away by this amount right now.”
It has been an elusive dream for the EHS Music department to purchase a traveling piano, which is necessary to produce the creative expression needed during traveling music and arts ensembles away from Ellsworth High School.
Quinn Motors, along with EHS administrators, faculty, students and EHS Music, Arts and Drama department profoundly thank the Ellsworth community, Quinn Motors of Ellsworth customer and friends and all who joined in the collective effort to raise funds to support EHS education.
