Prescott Police and Fire departments were called to a house fire at 6:50 a.m. Thursday, June 27.
When officers arrived at the two-story home at 244 Elm St. N., they observed smoke coming from the structure’s roof. The lone occupant was out of the residence and no pets were inside. Pierce County land records list the property owner as Michael Veranth.
A small fire was contained to the attic area of the house and extinguished by responding fire crews. No injuries were reported, and damage to the residence is unknown. No foul play is suspected.
Prescott Fire, Hastings Fire, River Falls Fire, Allina EMS, and Prescott PD were all on scene.
