Charles (Chuck) Howard Owen Hildebrandt, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
Chuck was born July 29, 1952 and was one of the last babies born in the St. Croixdale Hospital in Prescott; he weighed over 11 pounds. He was a 1971 graduate of Prescott High School. He was a lifeguard at the Prescott public swimming beach.
Chuck was employed at Andersen Windows Corporation. After living in White Bear Lake, Minn. He relocated to Florida and eventually Cabarete, Dominican Republic, where he spent time at the beach, and kite surfing. Chuck loved to travel to Florida, Thailand, and New Zealand. He liked adventurous outdoor activities like sailing and cliff diving. He treasured the companionship of a close circle of friends that helped care for him during the last six months of his life.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Josephine Hildebrandt and brothers and sisters, Lester, Donald, Emmett, Dorothy, Rosie, Leona, Mary, Ginny, Madge, Jane and Debbie.
Chuck is survived by his son, Chad (Jessica), of Bentonville, Ark. and his sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Miki of Kailua-Kona Hawaii, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial for Chuck will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 269 Dakota St. S, Prescott, Wis. Internment will take place immediately following the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. An end of July date is anticipated.
