ELLSWORTH – Pierce Pepin Cooperative Services (PPCS) is proud to announce that the Arbor Day Foundation has recognized it as a Tree Line USA Utility for the 20th consecutive year. This prestigious designation highlights PPCS’s unwavering commitment to proper forest management in its service area.

Tree Line USA is a collaborative program between the Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters. It recognizes public and private utilities demonstrating best practices in protecting and nurturing America’s tree canopy. By achieving this recognition, PPCS has demonstrated its dedication to maintaining healthy community forests while delivering safe and reliable electricity to its customers.

PPCS has maintained its Tree Line USA designation since 2005, reflecting its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship. Trees play a crucial role in creating green spaces and enhancing the quality of life in communities across the United States. PPCS’s ongoing efforts to preserve and manage trees contribute to a healthier environment for all.

Dan Lambe, Chief Executive of the Arbor Day Foundation, emphasized the importance of trees: “Trees are essential to creating more green spaces in communities across the United States.” PPCS’s dedication to proper forest management aligns with this vision, making it a deserving recipient of the Tree Line USA recognition.
