Grace Marie Pederson of Buffalo, Minnesota, was welcomed home to heaven on Oct. 13, 2024, at the age of 84.

Grace was born to parents Carroll and Olga Knudtson on April 19, 1940, in Whitehall, Wisconsin. She graduated from high school in Ellsworth, Wis, and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout for over two years where she met her husband, David Martin Pederson, in Oct. 1959.

David and Grace were married on Feb. 25, 1961, and made their home in Caledonia, Glencoe, and eventually Buffalo, Minn, where they raised their family on a farm northwest of town.

Grace loved being a homemaker, real estate agent, and travel agent over the years and was active in many civic organizations including Little Buffalo Nursery School, 4-H Club, Monticello Rotary Club, Monticello Chamber of Commerce, ASSE Student Exchange program (where she served over 250 foreign students), the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, and Buffalo Covenant Church.

Above serving as president and board member in some of these organizations, Grace considered her most important role to be servant of Christ, wife, mom, grandmother, and Great Grandma GiGi.

Grace is survived by her husband, David; children, Mark (Valerie) Pederson, Elizabeth (Stephen) Shaffer, John (Jamie) Pederson, and Caryn (Michael) England; 10 grandchildren, Charissa, Anastasia, Luke, Joshua, Rebekah, Abigail, Peter, Daniel, David, and Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Lewis, Winston, Ari, Silas, Malachi, and Rhyan; sister, Marcia Miller; niece, Katelyn and nephew, Benjamin.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Grace’s life at Buffalo Ev. Covenant Church in Buffalo, Minn on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 12 p.m. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 10 a.m.

Luncheon to follow the service at church.

Interment will be at the Swedish Mission Cemetery in Buffalo, Minn.

Arrangements were entrusted to The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo, Minn.
